Your parents don’t know about relative value, then. Why do people collect artwork? Some of those things sell for more money than both your parents will ever have saved up… so is that painting or sculpture really worth more than a family’s lifetime savings? What does it do? It doesn’t feed you, transport you, there’s nothing it actually does… but some people value that artwork at that price and “waste” their money on it.
Why? Because it gives them satisfaction to own it, to look at it, to listen to it, to feel it.
If you get satisfaction from unboxing an album, from the thrill of wondering which poster or card you have, nodding with a sense of accomplishment knowing that your album sale contributed to their chart position… and even the satisfaction of having a complete collection of something.
Is that really a waste of money?
I mean, I remember collecting Pokemon cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and spending a lot of money of them but I don’t regret it at all because it made me feel good to have certain cards, the thrill of opening a booster pack and wondering what I could get, showing off to friends and coveting their collections. It was fun and I have no regrets.
What your parents seem to have missed is that purchasing those albums isn’t about getting a CD. It’s buying into an experience, being part of something with millions of people around the world who share a common interest with you, knowing that despite not knowing anything about those people that you and they are the same in one aspect, creating valuable memories. The collection of CDs is a shadow, a remnant of your experiences in the same way that photographs of vacations are. I dare you to ask your parents to stop taking photos on their holidays lol.
Same with music albums. You should point at your parents’ LP, cassette and CD collections. I’m just glad my parents kept some of their LPs. It has memories just like how many memories you store up in each album.
I agree with the first part of the statement, not so much with the second part.

Enough people have been asking for my take on this for me to warrant writing about it.
Man… where to begin with this story?
Well I could start off with my mantra:
Know when to trust, not who to trust: everybody lies, given the circumstances
If you were embedded in a K-Pop group full of various degrees of Koreans etc and the public, if they closed their eyes, wouldn’t be able to tell that the you weren’t Korean… then I think it’s possible. I think it would be a small niche appeal but I honestly think that there is room for at least one or two groups with such members.
There was this that was posted a few months back. Pretty bad if someone got a hold of the actual thing just because of the first address on the list.
The other places, you can look up just by Googling their respective sites for addresses.
It’s coming from mixing 서현 with 행복했어요
You know how how 했어 reads like 해써?
So 써요 kind of sounds like 서현 it’s like a forced joke that takes people by surprise. It’s always been there but it’s really popular right now because of a corner called ‘꺽기도’ in Gag Concert that does this kind of thing the entire thing.
You could make up your own like:
Song lyrics can have the same treatment:
Doodooroo~ doodoodoo kissing yoo jaesuk
Doodooroo~ doodoodoo loving yoo jaesuk
At Music Bank one of the backup dancers was too close to the exploding firecrackers and fell over. She wasn’t injured, but rather surprised. As soon as the cameras turned off TTS quickly ran to her and asked if she was okay. It looked like they were half sorry and half worried.
At Inkigayo Taeyeon learned that firecrackers were going to be used during the second pre-recording. After asking the staff members about the details, she explained to each and every backup dancer the exact times and whereabouts the firecrackers were going to explode.
This occasion reminds me of the rookie Kim Taeyeon who cried watching staff members eat on the floor.(Source: twitlonger.com)
